My entry for "The Journey Begins" challenge.
Done completely in 3ds max. Some colour adjustments post render were done in photoshop.
The idea came to me a few years back when i was doing an illustrated pop-up book for kids as my final diploma project at design school. the idea was discarded at an early stage and i ended up using a different idea for the book.
Now almost a year later it has become reality. the next step is to animate this guy. Maybe do a short.
Also this was the First time i finished a cg challenge .
